No, this isn't Oriental lily – which reminds me, I must add more photos of my lilies from last summer. I have lot of different lilies – also few Oriental breeds. I do it as soon as I find time.

Asiatic Hybrids have in their background many different Lilium species which originated from several areas of Asia. They are early-bloomers, in Finland they flower in mid summer from June through July. Usually flowers are not fragrant. These are one of easiest lilies to grow. Many of these hybrids origin are from unnamed seedlings.

Oriental hybrids are based on few species, which all are from East Asia only. They blossom in late summer and fall, in Finland August through September and their flower have a lot of perfume. They are more difficult to grow and don't like lime rich soils as Asiatic lilies.
